Every face is different - and so is every neuromodulator. MQ Institute offers personalized injectable wrinkle-relaxer treatments selected according to facial anatomy, muscle movement, aesthetic goals, treatment history and clinical judgment. Important Safety Information

All botulinum toxin products are prescription medicines and can cause side effects. FDA-approved botulinum toxin products carry boxed warnings concerning distant spread of toxin effect. Symptoms may include generalized muscle weakness, double or blurred vision, drooping eyelids, voice or speech changes, difficulty swallowing or breathing, and other serious effects. Swallowing and breathing problems can be life-threatening.

Other potential adverse reactions vary by product, dose and treatment area and can include injection-site pain or discomfort,

headache, eyelid or eyebrow drooping, dry eye, neck pain, muscle weakness, and allergic reactions, among others. Contraindications, warnings and precautions differ by product.

Patients should tell their provider about all medical conditions, prior botulinum toxin treatments, medications and supplements. The treating provider should review the current prescribing information for the specific product before treatment.

Individual Results Vary - No Guarantees

Individual results vary. MQ Institute does not guarantee a particular cosmetic outcome, degree of improvement, onset of effect or duration of results. Response depends on the product, dose, treatment area, anatomy, muscle activity, prior treatment and other individual factors. Frequently Asked Botox / Wrinkle Relaxers Questions

What is TOX / a neuromodulator?

Neuromodulators are FDA-approved injectable medications that temporarily relax targeted muscles responsible for expression lines and wrinkles. They are commonly used to soften facial lines, prevent the deepening of certain wrinkles, and create a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

How do Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, and Xeomin differ?

All four are botulinum toxin type A products that work by temporarily reducing targeted muscle activity. They differ in formulation, dosing, onset, and duration of effect. Daxxify may provide longer-lasting results for certain patients. The most appropriate product is selected based on individual anatomy, treatment goals, medical history, and clinical assessment. Units are not interchangeable between products.

Which TOX is right for me?

The ideal neuromodulator depends on facial anatomy, muscle strength, previous treatment response, medical history, and aesthetic goals. At MQ Institute, treatment recommendations are individualized to achieve balanced, natural-looking results.

What areas can be treated?

Common treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet around the eyes. Depending on the product and clinical assessment, additional areas such as the chin, jawline, neck, and lines around the mouth may be considered. Some applications are off-label and require individualized evaluation.

When will I see results?

Initial improvement typically becomes noticeable within several days, depending on the product. Full results generally develop within approximately two weeks, although timing varies by individual and formulation.

How long will my results last?

Results commonly last approximately three to four months, although duration varies with the product, treatment area, dosage, muscle activity, and individual response. Certain formulations may provide longer-lasting effects. Results and duration cannot be guaranteed.

Will I look frozen?

Treatment at MQ Institute is tailored to individual facial anatomy, muscle movement, and aesthetic preferences. The goal is to soften unwanted lines while maintaining balanced facial expression. Results vary, and no specific aesthetic outcome can be guaranteed.

Is there downtime?

Most patients can return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at injection sites may occur. Individual post-treatment instructions will be provided.

What are the possible risks and side effects?

Potential side effects include temporary discomfort, bruising, swelling, headache, facial asymmetry, or eyelid or eyebrow drooping. Rare but serious complications can include muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing due to the spread of toxin effects. A medical evaluation is performed to determine treatment suitability and discuss relevant risks.

How many units will I need?

The number of units depends on the product selected, treatment area, muscle strength, facial anatomy, and desired outcome. Dosing is individualized, and units are not equivalent across different neuromodulator brands.

How often can I receive treatment?

Many patients schedule maintenance treatments approximately every three to four months, depending on the product and individual response. Treatment intervals are determined by clinical assessment and product-specific recommendations. Treatments should not be repeated more frequently than medically appropriate.
